Our senior photo experience is more than just taking photos and sending you digitals to download. Our senior sessions are about documenting who they are at this time in their life and creating beautiful customized art pieces to remember.

We are a full-service portrait studio that helps create an experience to tell their story. We want to get to know your senior - what they like, what they don’t, what music they listen to, if they’re intro or extraverted, and together we will plan a fun excursion to create beautiful, unique senior portraits to remember this milestone and achievement.

As your professional senior photographer, we’ll provide guidance on poses, schedule their session during the best time of day, and provide tips on how to make their experience one they’ll enjoy. And afterwards we won’t leave you to print your own photos through a one-hour lab or mail service, together we will pick the best images from their session and create customized artwork to remember this special milestone.

We will work together to create your experience. Do you have any hobbies, participate in any sports, or are you part of the band? We will discuss what you'd like to include so we can tailor your senior portraits around the style and personality that fits you best.

CAPTURE

This is the fun part and where the magic happens. We will go out and document this experience.

CUSTOMIZE

The best part! You'll come in for your in-person reveal session to see all the awesome portraits we took. We will customize and create a collection so you can purchase the images you love.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How long is a senior portrait session?: Our 3 sessions we offer vary in length.
Signature: Up to 4 hours
Classic: Up to 2.5 hours
Simple: Up to 45 minutes
What does the creative fee cover?: The creative fee covers our pre-session planning, time taking the photos, professional expertise and professional retouching on purchased images. We also provide guidance on selecting products to fit your needs including canvas, professional prints, albums and more.
Will I get to see all the images?: Unfortunately no. We can take a lot of photos during our time together and some just don't make the cut. But don't worry, we will provide a variety for you to see during your reveal appointment.
Can I bring my pet or props?: Yes and yes!

We love when we can incorporate the furry (and sometimes not so furry) members of your family. We just ask that if you plan to bring your pet that we're aware ahead of time due to restrictions on where we can photograph your session and that they are friendly.

As for props, we highly encourage it. This is what makes your session unique and important to you.
What if the weather is bad?: We keep a pretty close eye on the weather and will be in touch if we feel rescheduling would be in the best interest. Fortunately, living in the heartland we all know that the weather can change in a matter of 10 minutes.
Can I bring more than one outfit?: Absolutely! Having a variety will give you options when picking your images. We suggest having at least one outfit that is neutral and then bringing 1-2 additional wardrobe choices where you can mix and match. Accessories such as belts, hats, scarves, and jewelry are always a great option to have as well.
When/how will I get to see my images?: About 10-14 days after your session, we will invite you to our in-home studio where you will get to view your images on a slideshow. This appointment generally takes 1-1.5 hours and we will help you narrow down your selections.

IMPORTANT: All final selections are made at this time and payment is due. We request that all the financial decision makers are present and to review our pricing guide beforehand so you have an idea of what you'd like to purchase.
Do you offer digital images?: Yes! All of our collections include digitals. You also have the option to purchase a'la carte.

HAIR & MAKEUP: Our optional professional hair and makeup services will create one-of-a-kind senior photos that represent you. We have access to some of the best hair and makeup artists in the Kansas City area. We also understand that it can be challenging to find someone who is experienced, knowledgeable and creates the type of look you want so we help remove the guesswork and send you to one of our trusted artists.
LOCATIONS: Kansas City offers some of the unique and greatest locations to take senior photos. Many are well-known and the best ones (in our opinion) are off the beaten path so you can have something different than what your friends are doing. As your professional photographer who was born and raised in Kansas City, we know some cool spots to create that unique look you want.
POSING: Our senior sessions are all about movement and telling your story. Sure, we’ll capture the posed photos for mom and dad, but we know that most seniors want candid type photos. We provide guidance and prompts to make your session fun even if you think you’re not photogenic or know how to pose. If you don’t feel like a salted pretzel by the end of your session then we’re not doing our job right!
FULL-SERVICE STUDIO: As your professional senior photographer, we want to create an adventure where we document the experience for your soon-to-be graduate. Together, we will plan and coordinate what they want for their special day. And when its over, we will help you decide and pick out the best images from their session so you'll have customized and beautiful lasting pieces of artwork to proudly display in your home.
PROFESSIONAL RETOUCHING: We do not outsource your images for retouching, nor will we apply filters and make you look like plastic. We have over two decades of experience and knowledge working in our programs. Each image is expertly retouched and fine tuned to make sure colors are correct and vibrant without being too over the top.
