What if I don’t know how to pose?

Feeling nervous in front of the camera is completely normal. Throughout the session, I'll guide you with natural posing, movement, and prompts designed to help you feel at ease while creating a variety of images that are polished, natural and authentic to your personality.

How long is a session?

Session length depends on the collection you choose and how personalized you’d like your session to be. Our Simple Collection is designed to be shorter and more streamlined, while the Classic and Signature Collections allow more time for multiple locations, outfit changes, and a wider variety of images.

What should I wear?

Once your session is booked, I’ll help guide you through outfit planning so everything feels cohesive, comfortable, and true to your personality. I always recommend bringing a mix of outfits including something more classic along with pieces that reflect your personal style and interests. This allows us to create a variety of looks throughout your session.

Can I bring multiple outfits, props, or my pet?

Absolutely! I highly encourage seniors to bring multiple outfit options, meaningful props or even pets. This is a great way to personalize your session and create a variety throughout your images. These personal touches help make the session more fun and memorable.

What if the weather is bad?

I keep a close eye on the weather leading up to your session and will stay in touch if rescheduling becomes necessary. Kansas City weather can change quickly, so unless conditions are severe, we’ll make the best decision together based on lighting, comfort, and overall session experience.

What happens after the session?

About 2 weeks after your session, you’ll come back to the studio for a personalized reveal and ordering appointment where you’ll see your images for the first time. Together, we’ll narrow down your favorites and help you choose the images, artwork, albums, and products that best fit how you want to enjoy your photos long after graduation.

How far in advance should I book?

Most seniors book their session several months in advance, especially for popular summer and fall dates. I always recommend reaching out early to have the best flexibility when it comes to timing, locations, and overall session planning.
